Research ProjectsI am currently working different projects. I'm proud of being a part of the Creativity Research Group, with Drs. Gail Tang, Gulden Karakok, Rani Satyam, Emily Cilli-Turner, and Houssein El Turkey. One large and ongoing project is on creativity in calculus courses, combining our previous research on proof and proving with our conjectures on how to foster creativity and its effects. Another project I am working on is with colleagues Drs. Rama Kothapalli, Hayley Lainer, and Erin Freeman. We have joined Rama in the FYRE (Four-Year Research Experience) program at the University of Oklahoma, looking at growth and effects of undergraduate research and mentoring. More information can be found at the FYRE website. I'm finishing a project that was funded through the Association of Public Land-Grant Universities about active learning and change in department teaching practices. We have a conference proposal and an accepted journal article that you can find below.
